A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO MAKE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
THE CLEANEST COUNTY IN FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. St. Lucie County cherishes its natural beauty and community pride.
2. It is our shared responsibility to ensure that St. Lucie County shines as a beacon of
cleanliness and community prosperity for all.
3. Cultivating a culture of cleanliness and civic responsibility throughout St. Lucie
County will foster a sense of pride in our community.
4. St. Lucie County should partner with local organizations, businesses, and residents
to implement effective cleanup initiatives and beautification projects.
5. Strengthening code enforcement efforts in strategic areas to address visible
violations, working collaboratively with property owners to find remedies for code enforcement
violations, promoting responsible property management, and community integrity will help
maintain the integrity of our neighborhoods.
6. St. Lucie County should strive to ensure that County-owned assets, including
roadways, parks, boat ramps, facilities, and other infrastructure are maintained to a level that
reflects the potential of our County.
7. By prioritizing cleanliness, we enhance the quality of life for all residents and
visitors, creating a welcoming environment for families, businesses, and tourists alike.
8. This resolution embodies the Board's commitment to preserving St. Lucie County's
natural beauty, ensuring a prosperous future for generations to come. This commitment shall be
communicated to all relevant stakeholders, and County staff shall use its best efforts towards
achieving this goal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida does hereby commit to making St. Lucie County the cleanest county in the State of
Florida.
