A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, SUPPORTING A TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM (TAP) PROJECT
IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following
determinations:
1. The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) provides federal funding for small-scale non-motorized
transportation projects such as bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
2. The application for the Florida Department of Transportation District(FDOT D-4)upcoming cycle for draft
Tentative Work Program FY 2026-FY2030 is being prepared for submission.
3. County staff has coordinated with the St. Lucie Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) to identify
the need for a sidewalk along Easy Street from US Highway 1 to Canal 22 and future SunTrail (the
"project").
4. The application requires a resolution approved by the Board of County Commissioners in support of the
Project.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. The Board does hereby proclaim its support for the Project in St. Lucie County, Florida.
2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
3. This Resolution shall be forwarded to the TPO.
After motion and second,the vote on this resolution was as follows:
