LUCIE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SITTING AS THE COMMISSION OF THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT, AUTHORIZING THE ADJUSTMENT OF WATER, WASTEWATER, AND REUSE UTILITY CONNECTION CHARGES FOR CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE ST.LUCIE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS,pursuant to Ordinance No. 04-023, (the"District Ordinance")the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners ("Commission") created the St. Lucie County Water and Sewer District ("District") for the purpose of providing water, wastewater, and reclaimed water service within the boundaries of the District;and WHEREAS, on December 15, 2015, in Resolution No. 15-256, the Commission, sitting as the Board of the St.Lucie County Water and Sewer District("Board")established the existing water, wastewater and reuse utility connection charges for customers within the District("2015 Resolution"); and WHEREAS, the Commission, on the advice and recommendations of its Utility staff and its Utility rate consultants(Raftelis Utility Capital Charge Study dated March 5, 2025),finds that the adjusted Connection Fees for future customers of the District set forth in the attached Exhibit"1" ("2025 Schedule of Connection Fees"), are just and equitable and in the public interest; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, sitting as the Board of the St. Lucie County Water and Sewer District: Section 1. APPROVAL OF MARCH 5,2025 UTILITY CAPITAL CHARGE STUDY; ADOPTION OF SCHEDULE OF CONNECTION FEES FOR THE W&S District Connection Fee Resolution 2025 1 DISTRICT. The Utility Capital Charge Study dated March 5,2025,prepared by Raftelis is accepted and approved. The Schedule of Connection Fees attached to this Resolution as Exhibit "1" is hereby approved and shall be effective the first day of the month after approved by the Board and as further provided in Exhibit"1". Section 2. SEVERABILITY. If any section,paragraph, sentence, clause,phrase, or word of their Resolution is for any reason held by a court to be unconstitutional, inoperative,or void, such holding shall not affect the remainder of this Resolution. Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption(the"Effective Date"). Section 4. ADOPTION.
