A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF APRIL 19TH—25TH, 2026 AS
"4-H VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK" IN
ST. LUCIE COUNTY,FLORIDA
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,Florida,has made
the following determinations:
1. 4-H is one of the nation's largest youth development organizations, empowering young
people with the skills they need to lead for a lifetime.
2. The success of 4-H programs is made possible through the dedication, leadership, and
generosity of volunteers who give their time,talents,and resources to support youth in their
communities.
3. 4-H volunteers serve as mentors, educators, and role models, fostering confidence,
responsibility, and leadership in young people through hands-on learning experiences.
4. These volunteers work tirelessly to create inclusive, supportive environments where all
youth have the opportunity to grow, learn, and succeed.
5. The impact of 4-H volunteers extends beyond individual participants, strengthening
families, communities,and the future of our nation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida does hereby proclaim April 19 through April 25, 2026 as "4-H
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK", recognize the invaluable contributions of 4-H
volunteers, and to express gratitude for their commitment to empowering the next generation of
leaders in St. Lucie County, Florida.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 21st day of April 2026.
