4. Mr. Rossi deployed to the European front and was assigned to the 1301' Engineer 444

+gi• g } 5. He was subsequently detailed to the 3rd Army Headquarters in Nancy, France, on an ,
1 I assignment during which he learned of a need for a saxophone player. He auditioned ` v1i

itv�s, 6. Mr. Rossi continued on service throughout Germany, Belgium and Czechoslovakia, i
sperforming for the troops and contributing to morale among those engaged in combat 1 .01 , 15441 operations. During his movement throughout Europe, he was exposed to enemy 1
