A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING JUNE 2,2026 AS
"ST.ANASTASIA CATHOLIC SCHOOL CENTENNIAL DAY"
IN ST.LUCIE COUNTY,FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. St. Anastasia Catholic School, located in Fort Pierce, Florida,was founded in 1926 and has faithfully
served the community for 100 years,providing a strong foundation rooted in faith,academic excellence,
and service.
2. For a century St. Anastasia Catholic School has been dedicated to educating generations of students in
the values of faith,integrity,leadership,and compassion,preparing them to become responsible citizens
and servant leaders.
3. St. Anastasia Catholic School operates as a ministry of St.Anastasia Catholic Church and is part of the
Diocese of Palm Beach, partnering with families and the Church to nurture the spiritual, intellectual,
and moral development of its students.
4. Throughout its 100-year history, St. Anastasia Catholic School has played an important role in the
educational, spiritual, and cultural life of St. Lucie County and the greater Treasure Coast, fostering a
spirit of unity among students, families, faculty,parishioners,and alumni.
5. The Centennial Celebration of St. Anastasia Catholic School provides a meaningful opportunity to
honor its rich history, recognize the dedication of its faculty and staff, celebrate the accomplishments
of its students and alumni, and look forward with hope and commitment to the next century of Catholic
education.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.Lucie
County, Florida does hereby proclaim June 2, 2026 as "St. Anastasia Catholic School Centennial Day"in
St. Lucie County, Florida and encourages all citizens to join in recognizing and celebrating 100 years of
faith,learning,leadership,and service provided by St.Anastasia Catholic School to the community and the
Diocese of Palm Beach.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 2nd day of June 2026.
