A RESOLUTION NAMING A PORTION OF DICKSON DRIVE TO
DICKSON DRIVE AND SAVANNAH LAKES BOULEVARD
IN THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE,LYING IN SECTION 27,
TOWNNS�SHIP 35 SOUTH,RANGE 40 EAST,ST.LUCIE COUNTY,FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the'Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the

following determinations:
1. Svn 336.05(1), Florida Statutes, authorizes the Board of County Commissioners to
name and rename streets and roads lying outside the boundaries of any incorporated municipality.
2. Pursuant to Ordinance N o.87-8,Part A,St.Lucie County Code of Ordinances Section 36-
51,there shall be no duplication ��name in St.Lucie County.
3. Pursuant to St. uL cie County`Land Development Code Section 7.05.08(C)(2), streets,
v regardless of functional classification,w�•ru ar parallel to the north-south base line(Orange Avenue)
shall be called avenue, drive or some otheaction beginning with a letter in the first half (A

through M)of the alphabet. Street,regardless of classification,which run parallel to the east-west base
line(U.S.Highway 1)shall be called terrace,p ce,or some other designation beginning with a letter in
the second half(N through Z)of the alphabet. (—..

4. The Property Acquisition Department received'a request from Dennis Murphy of

Culpepper and Terpening on behalf of the Preserve at Savannah Lakes Community Development District
to rename a portion of Dickson Drive to Dickson Drive and Savannah Lakes Boulevard at the intersection
of U.S.Highway 1.Public Safety and the Property Acquisition Department have reviewed,verified,and
approved the street name change. The Preserve at Savannah Lakes Community Development District
has committed to installing a dual-name street sign at the intersection of U.S.Highway 1,and a"Dickson

Drive"street sign at the intersection of Dickson Drive and Savannah Lakes Boulevard.
5. Dickson Drive is a County owned right-of-way,lying in Section 27,Township 35 South,
Range 40 East and shall be renamed as follows and more particularly shown on attached Exhibit"A":

NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County,

B. The Preserve at Savannah Lakes Community Development District is directed to install a

C. The Property Acquisition Department is hereby directed to notify the appropriate
