HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-0361 2 3 4 5 6 7 RESOLUTION 02-036 FILE NO.: RZ-02-003 A RESOLUTION DENYING A CHANGE IN ZONING FROM THE AR-1 (AGRICULTURAL, RESIDENTIAL - 1 DU/ACRE) ZONING DISTRICT TO THE RM-5 (RESIDENTIAL, MULTIPLE-FAMILY - 5 DU/ACRE) ZONING DISTRICT OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN ST. LUClE COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, based on the testimony and evidence including, but not limited to the staff report, has made the following determinations: o Bakul Patel, presented a petition for a change in zoning from the ^R-1 (Agricultural Residential - 1 du/acre) Zoning District to the RM-5 (Residential, Multiple-Family- 5 du/acre) Zoning District for the property described in Part A below. On March 21,2002, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on the petition, after publishing notice at least 10 days prior to the hearing and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject property, and recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve the hereafter described request for a change in zoning from the AR-1 (Agricultural, Residential - 1 du/acre) Zoning District to the RM-5 (Residential, Multiple-Family- 5 du/acre) Zoning District for the property described in Part A below. On April 16, 2002, this Board held a public hearing on the petition, after publishing notice at least 10 days prior to the hearing and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject property. The proposed change in zoning is not consistent with the goals, objectives, and policies of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan and has not satisfied the requirements of Section 11.06.03 of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code. The proposed change in zoning is not consistent with the existing uses in the surrounding area. The proposed change in zoning will negatively impact the Kings Highway Roadway Corridor within the area. Tax Id. No. 2323-501-0001-000/3 (Location: Southwest corner of the intersection of South Kings Highway and Research Center Road) owned by Bakul Patel, is hereby denied.
