A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN D APPROVING
EXECUTION OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION AND ST. LUCIE COUNTY
JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE
FUNDING FOR INCREASED RESOURCES TO ENHANCE
THE OPERATION OF THE COUNTY'S COMPUTERIZED
TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM BY THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN O F THE ST. LUCIE
COUNTY BOARD O F COUNTY COMMISSIONERS T O
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; FURTHER AUTHORIZING
THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT BY APPROVING IT AS TO FORM
A N D CORRECTNESS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida,
has made the following determinations:
1. The Department and the County are desirous of having the
County make certain improvements with the Department providing the
funding for increased resources to enhance the operation of the County's
computerized Traffic Signal System.
2. This Board should authorize and approve execution of the Joint
Participation Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation to
provide funding for increased resources to enhance the operation of the County's
computerized Traffic Signal System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County Florida:
1. This Board does hereby authorize and approve execution of the Joint
Participation Agreement with the State of Florida Department of Transportation to
provide funding for increased resources to enhance the operation of the County's
computerized Traffic Signal System.
2. The Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners and the Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute the Joint Participation Agreement approved by this
resolution; and further, the County Attorney is hereby authorized to execute the
agreement by approving it as to form and correctness.
After motion and second the vote on this resolution was as follows:
