RESOLUTION 02-149
A RESOLUTION DENYING ORDINANCE 02-015
WHICH PROPOSED A CHANGE TO THE
ST. LUClE COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, based on the
testimony and evidence, including but not limited to the staff report, has made the following
determinations:
On August 1, 1990, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida,
adopted the St. Lucie County Land Development Code.
On June 16, 2002, the Local Planning Agency/Planning and Zoning Commission held a
public hearing on the draft ordinance 02-015 after publishing notice in the Port St. Lucie
News and the Tribune at least 10 days prior to the hearing and recommended that the
proposed ordinance be approved.
On July 16, 2002, this Board held its first public hearing on the proposed ordinance, after
publishing a notice of such hearing in the Port St. Lucie News and the Tribune on July 5,
2002.
On August 20, 2002, this Board held its second public hearing on the proposed
ordinance, after publishing a notice of such hearing in the Port St. Lucie News and the
Tribune on August 9, 2002.
The proposed amendment to the St. Lucie County Land Development Code has been
determined to be inconsistent with the general purpose, goals, objectives and standards
of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan and is not in the best interest of the health
safety and public welfare of the citizens of St. Lucie County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida:

The proposed amendment to Section 10.00.04 of the St. Lucie County Land Development
Code as described in Draft Ordinance 02-015 is hereby denied.
A copy of this Resolution shall be placed on file with the St. Lucie County Community
Development Director.
