A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING, PURSUANT TO
THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 147(0 OF THE INTERNAL
REVENLrE CODE OF 1986, AS AMENDED, THE ISSUANCE OF A
NOT EXCEEDING $1,510,000 IMPROVEMENT REVENUE BOND,
SERIES 2002B; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE
COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Findings. A. Pursuant to Chapter 159, Part II, Florida Statutes (the "Act"), the
Board of County Commissioners (the "Board") of St. Lucie County, Florida (the "County"), finds it
necessary and desirable to approve, for purposes set forth herein, the issuance of its Improvement
Revenue Bond, Series 2002B (the "Bond"), the proceeds of which will be used to acquire and
construct buildings and related facilities at the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds (the "Project"), such
buildings to be owned by the County and leased to the St. Lucie County Fair Association, Inc., a
not-for-profit corporation, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Florida.
B. This approval is intended to comply with the requirements of Section 147(0 of the
Intemal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, which section requires that a public hearing on the
Project and the Bond be held prior to the issuance of the Bond.
C. The Board on the date hereof has held a public hearing after publication of notice
satisfying the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Code. A copy of the proof of publication of the
notice is attached hereto as Exhibit A. Anyone requesting permission to speak at the public hearing
for or against the Project or the issuance o the Bond was given an opportunity to do so.
Section 2. Approval of Improvement Revenue Bond. The issuance of thc Bond is
hereby approved for purposes of Section 147(0 of the Code.
Section 3. Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
