A RESOLUTION OF TH E BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
COMMISSION CHAIR TO EXECUTE AND FILE A JOINT
PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TI~4NSPORTATION, DISTRICT 4, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $250,000 TO IMPLEMENT AN A SYSTEM-WIDE
MARKETING PLAN FOR TRANSIT SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation, District 4, and the Board of
County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, desire to participate jointly to
implement a system-wide marketing plan for transit service operated by the Council on
Aging of St. Lucie, Inc.
WHEREAS, the system-side marketing plan for transit service will educate
residents, businesses and visitors of the available transit service in the County.
WHEREAS, public transportation is vital to the quality of life and economic well-
being of the citizens of St. Lucie County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bythe Board of County Commissioners
of St. Lucie County, Florida:
That the Chair of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is
hereby authorized to execute and file a Joint Participation Agreement with
the Florida Department of Transportation, District 4, in the amount of Two
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($250,000).
2.. Effective date: This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption.
