RESOLUTION 01-005
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ST. LUCIE COUNTY TO REQUEST
A TIME EXTENSION TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GRANT, 99DB-4Z-10-66-01-
E81, FOR INSTALLATION OF POTABLE WATER LINES AT
OLEAN 3ER BUSINESS PARK AND WORLD OF PLASTICS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
WHEREAS, St. Lucie County was awarded a Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) Economic Development Category in September of 1998 for installation of
potable water lines in the Oleander Business Park area to serve the needs of
Freedorr Plastics;

WHEREAS, the CDBG 99DB-E81 grant currently expires in March of 2001. The
County must request a six (6) month contract time extension from the Florida
Department of Community Affairs to allow adequate time to comply with the $10,000
per job requirement for all infrastructure projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
Authorization for the Chairman and/or Vice Chairman to execute the appropriate
documents necessary to request the six (6) month time extension;
B
Authorize the County Administrator or his designee to act in connection with this
CDBG grant application as may be required by the Florida Department of
Community Affairs; and
C. Upon adoption that this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
