RESOLUTION NO. 03-66
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A RURAL
CAPITAL ASSISTANCE SUPPORT GRANT APPLICATION
WITH THE FLORIDA COMMISSION FOR THE
TRANSPORTATION DISADVANTAGED.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida,
hereafter BOARD, authorizes the filing of a Rural Capital Assistance support Grant
Application with the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged, and
WHEREAS, this Board has the authority to file this Grant Application and to
undertake a transportation disadvantaged service project as authorized by Section 427.0159,
Florida Statutes, and Rule 41-1, Florida Administrative Code, and
WHEREAS, the Board is authorized to submit a Transportation Disadvantaged Trust
Fund Grant Application to the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged for
Fiscal Year 2002-03.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
1. The Board hereby authorizes the submission of a Rural Capital Assistance Support
Grant application with the Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged for
FY2002-03 in the amount of One Hundred Twelve Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100
dollars ($112,500) in Transportation Disadvantage Trust monies and Twelve Thousand Five
Hundred and 00/110 ($12,500) local monies, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
2. The Board authorizes the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners to
execute the application and any subsequent award agreement on behalf of the Board.
3. The Board further designates the St. Lucie County Community Services Director
as the staff position to execute any and all subsequent documents necessary including
agreements, assurances, reimbursement invoices, warranties and other documents which may
be required in connection with the Transportation Disadvantaged Commission.
4. This resolution shall become effective on adoption.
