A RESOLUTION NAMING, THE STEER
BAR~ BUILDING AT THE NEW ST. LUCIE
COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS AS THE "TOMMY
HAWKINS STEER BARN" IN
APPRECIATION OF HIS OUTSTANDING
SERVICE TO ST. LUCIE COUNTY BY
DONATING HIS TIME, LABOR, AND
ABILITIES TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
NEW ST. LUCIE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made
the following determinations:
1. Tommy Hawkins, of Hawkins & Sons Paving, has contributed an enormous amount of
his time, labor, and abilities :o the construction of the new St. Lucie County Fairgrounds.
2. Through his dedicated support and assistance, the new St. Lucie County Fairgrounds is
near completion.
3. This Board believes that Mr. Hawkins should be recognized for his outstanding service
to St. Lucie County.
NOW, THEREFOILE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida.
1. This Board does hereby name the Steer Barn Building at the new St. Lucie County
Fairgrounds as the "Tommy Hawkins Steer Barn" in appreciation of his outstanding service to St.
Lucie County by donating his time, labor, and abilities to the construction of the new St. Lucie
County Fairgrounds.
2. A copy of this resolution shall be presented to Tommy Hawkins as a token of this Board's
appreciation for a job well dcne.
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED this 18th day of February, 2003.
