A RESOLUTION DISSOLVING THE WOODS OF ST.
LUCIE ~UNICIPAL SERVICE TAXING UNIT FOR
STREET LIGHTING
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida,
has made the following determinations:
1. On November 7, 1989, the Board adopted Resolution No. 89-371 which
created the Woods of St. Lucie Municipal Service Taxing Unit (MSTU) to pay the cost of
providing street lighting within the Woods of St. Lucie Planned Unit Development.
2. The Woods of St. Lucie was never constructed and all permits and
approvals for the project have lapsed.
3. Section 1-13.5-15, St. Lucie County Code of Ordinances, provides that the
Board may dissolve a MSTU provided that all indebtedness secured by the proceeds of
taxes or special assessments levied by the unit are paid off or there is otherwise full
compliance with the terms, conditions or covenants of the documents or note which
established the indebtedness.
4. No indebtedness was established for the Woods of St. Lucie MSTU and
no indebtedness was secured by the proceeds of the taxes levied by the Woods of St.
Lucie MSTU
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lacie County, Florida:
1. This Board hereby dissolves the Woods of St. Lucie Municipal Services
Taxing Unit for street lighting as created by Resolution No. 89-371.
2. This reso'ution shall be recorded in the public records of St. Lucie County,
Florida, and shall take effect upon recording.
3. The Cour ty Attorney is directed to send a copy of this resolution to the St.
Lucie County Property Appraiser and the St. Lucie County Tax Collector.
