A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
STATING I-'S INTENT TO USE THE UNTFORM METHOD
OF COLLECTING NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS FOR
THE COLLECT-~ON AND DISPOSAL OF SOLID WASTE;
DESCRIBING THE AREA SUBJECT TO THE ASSESSMENT;
STATING A NEED FOR THE
MAILING -HE RESOLUTION;

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for St. Lucie County, Florida (the
"Board") is considering the evy of a non-ad valorem special assessment to provide solid waste
collection and disposal serv'ce to improved residential properties within the unincorporated
area of St. Luci¢ County (the "Collection and Disposal Service"); and
WHEREAS, the Bo~rd intends to use the uniform method for collecting non-ad
valorem special assessmen-s to fund the cost of the Collection and Disposal Service as
authorized by section 1cj7.3632, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on May 6, 2003, the Board held n duly advertised public hearing to
consider the adoption of this resolution, proof of publication of this hearing is attached
hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A"; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ZT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida, as fo lows:
Section 1: Commencing with the tax statement mailed for the 2004-2005 Fiscal
Year, the Board intends to use the uniform method of collection as authorized in section

WltEREAS, subsequent to the ado->tion of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners budget for St. Lucie
County, certain funds not anticipated at the time of adoption of the budget have become available in the amount of
$2,400 in contributions from the Kolter Resorts for a new sign at the Stan Blum Memorial Boat Launch.
WHEREAS, Section 129.06 (d), Ftorida Statutes, requires the Board of County Commissioners to adopt a resolution
to appropriate and expend such tim:Is.
NOW, TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, in
meeting assembled this 13th day of May, 2003, pursuant to Section 129.06 (d), Florida Statutes, such funds are hereby
appropriated for the fiscal year 2002-03, and the County's budget is hereby amended as follows:
