A R~SOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 11,
2003, THROUGH MAY 17, 2003, as
"WOMEN'S HEALTH WEEK" IN ST. LUCIE
COUNTY, FLORIDA

National Women's Health Week celebrates the extraordinary

schizophrenia, and depression.

right; and women can promote health and prevent disease and illness
by taking simple steps to improve their physical and mental health
as they care for their families and others.
5. Research and study indicates the need to address women's
health holistically and throughout the lifespan, increase awareness
of women's health Lssues, advocate access to the most advanced
health care technologies for all women, and encourage women to take
action that will lead to better health.
NOW, THEREFORe, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board recognizes and supports addressing the special
health needs of women in our county and does hereby proclaim May
11, 2003, through Eay 17, 2003 as "WOMEN'S HEALTH WEEK" in St.
Lucie County, Florida.
