HomeMy WebLinkAbout03-176RESOLUTION NO. 03-176 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING A MULTI- WAY (3 WAY) STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF KING'S HIGHWAY AND OCALA AVENUE IN ST. LUClE COUNTY, FLORIDA WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the following determinations 1. Section 316.0-08 (1) (i), Florida Statutes, authorizes the Board to designate any intersection under its jurisdiction as a stop intersection. The intersection of King's Highway and Ocala Avenue are under St. Lucie County's jurisdiction. 3. Due to the i lcrease in Pedestrian traffic to the Lakewood Park Park, the Road and Bridge Division of the Public Works Department of St. Lucie County has recommended that a multi- way (3 way) stop be design;ted at the intersection of King's Highway and Ocala Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County of St. Lucie County Commissioners of St. Lucie .%unty: 1. The intersection of King's Highway and Ocala Avenue is hereby designated as a multi-way (3 way) stop. 2. The St. Luc e County Road and Bridge Manager is hereby directed to erect stop signs at the intersection of King's Highway and Ocala Avenue. 3. The County Administrator is hereby directed to provide copies of this resolution to the Shedff of St. Lucie County, and the St. Lucie County Road and Bddge Manager.
