LUCitE COUNTY, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE COMMISSION CHAIR TO EXECUTE AND FILE A JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENt[ OF TRANSPORTATION, DISTRICT 4, IN THE AMOUNT OF $470,140 FOR THE PURCHASE OF BUSES AND TRANSIT INFRASTRUCTURE. WHEREAS, the ~lorida Department of Transportation, District 4, and the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, desire to participate jointly to implement a grant to provide for transit buses and transit infrastructure. WHEREAS, the )uses and transit infrastructure with provide service for residents, businesses and visitors in the County. WHEREAS, pu~ lic transportation is vital to the quality of life and economic well- being of the citizens of St. Lucie County, Florida. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida: That the Chair of the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized to execute and file a Joint Participation Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation, District 4, in the amount of Four Hundred Seventy Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars ($470,140). 2.. Effective date: This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption. After motion and second, the vote on this resolution was as follows Chairman Cliff Barnes AYE Vice Chairman Paula A.
