A RESOLUTION RENAMING A CERTAIN
PORTION OF ROADWA Y I;J~O~N ~S MESA CIRCLE
LYING IN TIlE NORTH SECTION 15, TO~VSHIP $6 SOUTH,

WIND Y PINES LANE.
tFI, ,gRE.4S, the Board ~ County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has made the
following determinations:
1. Section 336. 05(13 Florida Statutes, authorizes the Board of County Commissioners
to name and rename streets and roads lying outside the boundaries of any
incorporated municipality.
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-8, Part .4, St. Lucie County Code of Ordinances,
Chapter 1-17, Rouds and Bridges, Section 1-17-54, there shah be no duplications of
street names in St. Lucie County, Florida.
Pursuantto St. Lucie County Land Development Code Section 7.0$.08(C)(2), streets,
regardless of functionat '_:tassificotion. which run parallel to the north-south base
Hne (Orange/lvenue) shah be called Avenue, Drive or some other designation
beginning with a letter in the first half (d through M) of the alphabet. Streets,
regardless°fcla~sificati°n'whlchrunparallelt°theeast-westbaselitte(Ll'S'
Highway I) shall be called Terrace, Place or some other designation beginning with
a letter in the sec~nd half (N through Z) of the alphebet. Only streets classi, fied as
arterials or rna~ror collectors by St. Lucie County shall be designated Boulevard,
Highway, or Road. These de,~ignations may be u~ed regardless of direction.
The following street name has been reviewS, verified and approved by the
Community Development Department. 91 i, and the Property ,4cquisition Division.
5. That City of Port St. Lucie owned and maintained roadway will begin on the south
side of the drainage canal and run southward and curve eastward and intersect on
the west side of Hopkins Drive, north of Florida Powdi' and Light power lines more
particularly defined according to the attached map (Exhibit ,4) shall be named

NOW T~/ ;REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St.
Lucie County, Florida:
A. That City of Port St. Lucie owned and maintained roadway will begin on the south
side of the drainage canal and run southward and curve eastward and intersect on
the west side of l~opkins Drive. north of Florida Power and Light power lines more
particularly deft~ed according to the attached map (Exhibit A) shall be named
WINDY PINES LANE.
B. The sole purpose of this Resolution is to establish the name of the Roadway set out
above.
C, The Property,4cquisitions Divia : ',~ is hereby directed to notify the necessary Utilities
. and Public ,4genc;es regarding the naming of WIND Y PINES LANE.
