Dependable Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Design CA# 28173 July 25, 2017 RE: 835 SW Airoso Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL The purpose of this letter is to address the match -up of the indoor air handling unit with the outdoor condensing unit for the split DX air conditioning system at the above address. The indoor air handling unit is an existing Goodman model ARUF42C14AA, rated at 3.5 tons, and the outdoor condensing unit which has been replaced is a Goodman model GSX140421K rated at 3.5 tons. This replacement condensing unit is an acceptable match -up for cooling capacity and inter -operability with the existing indoor air handling unit (with proper expansion device). The newer, more efficient condensing unit should provide at a minimum the previous system efficiency, if not exceed the rating as per section 101.4.7 of the 2014, 5tn Edition FBC Energy Conservation Code.
