Re: Demolition Request-Rear Accessory Structure(Garage)
3115 Sunrise Blvd,Fort Pierce-2428-601-0022-000-5
Dear Mrs.Clark
The request-to demolish a rear accessory structure (garage) at 3115 Sunrise Blvd, Fort Pierce, FL, has been
reviewed.
The primary structure (home) and accessory structure (garage) are eligible for local designation as a Historic
Resource, however are not currently designated. In evaluation of the architectural and cultural significance of the
garage,it has been determined that demolition should not be held for further evaluation by the St.Lucie County
Historical Commission.Review notes are provided on the reverse side for reference..
Should a replacement garage be contemplated for construction or replacement of the subject garage, the owner is
encouraged to.adhere to the Secretary of Interior Standards in such design. The owner would be encouraged to
consider similar size,scale,spatial-relationship,and design to assimilate with the principal home which is eligible
for designation on the.local registry. It is noted further that the existing garage was constructed prior to current
dimensional standards applicable to the property (RS-4, RESIDENTIAL, SINGLE-FAMILY - 4 Zoning District),
therefore a replacement garage would be.required to adhere to the minimum side yard setbacks,in addition to
other applicable guidelines. At this time, the minimum side yard setback for the RS-4 district is 7.5ft,whereas the
structure sought for demolition is deficient. If any further assistance or consultation is sought, please do not
hesitate.
Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (772) 462-2518 or

Thank you for your coordination with this matter.
Sincerely,

This building has retained much of its original appearance, however
appears to be in a deteriorated condition. The garage door has been
replaced.
Reproduction or replication could presumably be completed without
great difficulty or expense. The specific stucco..style/material may
require added attention to detail or craftsmanship.
