The fill should be spread in loose layers of 12 to 18 inches arid compacted to 95% of Modified Proctor Density. The fill should extend at least 5 feet outside the imprint area of the structure. A minimum testing frequency is one test per 2500 square feet of compacted fill per 12 inch lift. 1.03 PAVEMENT SUPPORT The parking and drive areas may be successfully prepared to support a flexible pavement. The minimum pavement section design should include the following. 1. Proofroll the exposed natural subgrade with a minimum of 4 passes of a vibratory roller, or to 98% of Modified Procter Dry Density (ASTM D 1557). 2. A six inch thick stabilized subgrade using suitable clayey soils, compacted to 98% of the Modified Proctor Dry DErrsity. A Florida BEaring Value of 50 psi may be used for the road and parking areas. 3. A six inch thick coquina or limerock base, compacted to 98% of the Modified Proctor Dry DEnsity. 4. Provide 1 inch of Type i asphaltic concrete wearing surface for the parking lots and reads. In parking and road areas, one density test per 7500 square feet is recommended to confirm the required degrees of compaction. The latest specification of Florida Department of Transportation shall govern the design and placement of the pavements. Any pipe not true to line and grade shall be reset on proper bedding to provide proper alignment and grade. 1.05.1 WATER Pipe Installation- In general, water main shall be laid so as to provide a minimum cover of four feet below finished grade. Pipe, fittings, valves, and hydrants shall be carefully handled to avoid damage. While they are suspended over the trench before lowering, they shall be inspected for defects and rung with a light hammer to detect cracks. After pipe is laid, care shall be taken to avoid the entrance of dirt or water from the trench. 1.05.2 STERILIZATION of Completed Water Line: Before being placed in service, the entire line shall be cholorinated.
