EXPLANATION ON WHAT TYPE OF WORK YOU CAN DO WITHOUT BEING A LICENSED
CONTRACTOR
• Tightening ceiling fans; but not removing fans or working on them.
• Caulking windows and tubs
• Weather stripping around windows and doors in residential homes. DO NOT remove the doors or windows to
install the stripping

• Installing prefabricated wooden shutters to existing doors inside residential homes.
• Pressure cleaning driveways, patios, and sidewalks
• Repairing gutter and downspouts on residential buildings only
• Installing wallpaper and vinyl flooring
• Installing pre-manufactured closet shelving units
• Installing and replacing dead bolts and door knobs
• Cosmetic drywall
• Replacing garbage disposals that are plug-ins only (No hard wired units)
• Replacing hose washer on faucet. DO NOT replace faucet washers
• Replacing dishwasher, repairing stoves and microwave ovens
• Hanging vertical blinds and draperies
• Install A/C units in existing openings only and plug-ins only (no hard wired units). These units can be no
greater than three (3)tons or 3600 BTU. Must have no ducts but must have a factory installed cord and plug
• Performing maintenance, service and repair of lawn sprinkler systems by replacing broken heads, adjusting
nozzles, and repairing existing broken pipes
• Repairing tubs and shower stalls by fixing chips in tubs and glazing tubs
• Hooking up splitters/fittings to an existing cable that is already in the home. NO-pre-wiring on new
construction
•. WILL NOT be installing, maintaining or repairing A/C, refrigeration, heating and ventilation in any central A/C
and heating system.
• WILL NOT be installing door,bells and security peepholes in existing doors.
• WILL NOT be tearing off any molding and will not alter the archway
• WILL NOT be doing any commercial work
• WILL NOT be doing any electrical work, plumbing work, carpentry work, or cabinet installation.
• WILL NOT be installing windows or.doors
• WILL NOT be installing mechanical electrical.security equipment or devices and alarm systems
• WILL NOT be installing, altering or extending any piping or sprinkler heads for the irrigation of lawns,
including the connection to a water pump.and installing of master controller for the installed sprinkler`
systems
• WILL NOT be doing any cutting, assembling or installing any makes or kinds of glass and glass work,.panels
sash and door, holding metal frames, ornamental decorations, mirrors, tubs, or shower enclosures
• WILL NOT be doing any painting
• WILL NOT be installing any fascia, soffit, or any other permanently installed items on a building or structure
• WILL NOT be hanging or finishing drywall in any building or structure
• WILL NOT be replacing, disconnecting cut lines loose, or reconnecting water heaters
