GENERAL NOTES
1. The base angle is an optional base condition that does not have
to be "cast -in -place".
2. Base angle is supplied in 10'-0 lengths and all modifications,
such as cutting at columns or openings, are to be handled in the
field.
3. A concrete notch is optional with base angle. If optional notch
is used, add 3" to Star Manufacturing Company's nominal building
length and width. ( Refer to appropriate anchor bolt layout.)
NOTE: Base trim must be used, with or without a notch, to separate
the panel from the concrete. PANEL GUARANTEE IS NOT VALID
WHEN THE PANEL TOUCHES CONCRETE.
4. Base anchoring fasteners are not furnished by Star Manufacturing
Company.

GENERAL NOTES
1. The roof LTP is available in sizes to span a 5'-0 nominal opening
between two roof purlins or a 10'-0 nominal opening spanning three
roof purlins.
2. The wall LTP is available to span a nominal 6'-0 girt opening with a
minimum of field trimming. Caution should be taken when locating
LTP in the wall as a special length LTP or relocation of standard
girts may be required.
3. Roof LTP and wall LTP are available in uniform white with 25% heat
transmission and 55% light transmission.
4. Panels above and below the LTP are factory cut to length. Refer to
standard purlin spacing drawings on Pages 30.05through3o•o�:o for
112:12; 3 o. 07 for 1:12; and 3o. o o for
4:12 buildings for standard location and required length of the LTP.
5. Caution --When installing the LTP, walk -only on the purlins; not on
the LTP.
6. .Refer to the LTP lap detail on Page 3 9.✓ 3 for various lap conditions
that may exist when using standard LTP spacing.
7. Support Zee 11-55O x 10'-2 must be field cut to 5'-4 1/2 for use with
'two 5'-10 LTPs.

1. Framed openings are to be located in the field and each jamb must be
located as shown on page 54.o4to be able to use standard jamb flashing.
2. All field located framed openings require field cutting of girts.
Girts below head height may be a different standard part number
than the girts above.
3. .Available head room should be determined before ordering overhead
doors for possible use of low clearance or other nonstandard lift
hardware.
4. Overhead door size must be selected so the door will not interfere
with flange braces on the rafter.
5. When locating doors, sufficient side clearance must be maintained
to keep doors free of column flanges and/or column flange braces.
6. Full width panels above framed openings are factory, cut to the
proper length.
7. If jambs are galvanized, all bolts exposed to the elements are
1/2" O x 1 1/4" cadmium plated. All other connection bolts are
1/2" 0 x 1 1M black bolts,.
8. All open holes in jamb below header must be filled with either
cadmium plated or black bolts depending on jamb material used.
9. Exposed portion of framed openings may be either gaavanized
or red iron.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
1. Sheeting from left to right, install wall panels up to the desired location of the windows, omitting fastel{ners
at the last major rib. Refer to the last panel as the left jamb panel.
2. Set Jamb Support 13-120 in last major rib of left jamb panel. Attach to girt above opening with wall screw
from inside of girt flange.
3. Install panel below opening with left sidelap over the left jamb panel and attach to jamb support.
4. Install right jamb panel with sidelap over last panel below opening and attach to jamb support below opening on
5. Refer to cutting details for field modification of jamb adapters, then snap jamb adapters onto window frame.
6. Apply sealant strip to leading edge of inside face of left jamb adapter and set window in place, attaching'
to left jamb support with screws.
7. Apply sealant strip to leading edge of inside face of right jamb adapter and attach to right jamb support �ith
screws.
8. In inside lip of window sill, attach window to panel below with wall screws at 5"-1"-5" O.C.
9. Install Metal Rib Fillers 11-248 at sill of window and attach to sill between major ribs with trim fastene s
at 1'-0 O.C.
10. Install all panels above windows with the last panel sidelap under right jamb panel and attach panels to window
head with screws at 5"-7"-5" O.C. Install all panel sidelap stitch screws.
11. Apply a continuous bead of caulking along head to form a watertight seal.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

1. Sheeting from left to right, install wall panels up to the desired location of the windows, omitting fasteners at
the last major rib.. Refer to the last panel as the left jamb panel.
2. Set Jamb Support 13-120 in last major rib of left jamb panel. Attach to girt above opening with wall screw
from inside of girt flange.
3. Set Mullion Jamb Support 13-120 in place as required. If more than one mullion jamb support is required, 3'-0
or 6'-0 center -to -center of jamb supports must be held to insure proper fit of panels above and below windows.
Also install right jamb support. Plumb each jamb support before attaching panels.
4. Install panels below opening, sidelap over left jamb panel and attach to jamb and mullion jamb supports.
5. Field cut right jamb panel (see detail B) and install with sidelap over last panel below opening and attach to
jamb support below opening only.
6. Refer to cutting details for field modification of jamb adapters, then snap jamb adapters onto window frame.

14. Apply a continuous bead of gutterseal along jamb adapter (see detail C).
