C? �' 3135 • � : W OF ' LU ttnttt GENERAL STRUCTURAL NOTES Applicable Codes A. Construction shall be in accordance with the 6th Edition of the 2017 Florida Building Code and ASCE 7-10. The above shall govern except where other applicable codes or the construction drawings are more restrictive. Metal Framing A. Studs shall be 25 gauge metal and meet the Steel Stud Manufacturers Association Standards. B. End studs shall be seated firmly in the top and bottom runner tracks. C. All lateral bracing must be fastened at the time wall is erected. D. Use a minimum of 3 Studs at wall corners and intersections. E. All screw connections are based on CCFSS Technical Bulletin Vol. 2 No. 1 which outlines the AISI Specifications for screw connections. A J" clearance must be maintained from all edges of steel members. F. Provide wind anchors at supports for all roof joists and truss rafters. Anchors/Fasteners shall be Simpson brand or approved equal. G. Power driven fastener system, expansion anchors, masonry screws, and adhesive anhor system connections are based on literature published by Hilti Fastening System, Inc. Alternate fasteners in accordance to Hilti specifications are acceptable. Verification of Construction Conditions A. Dimensions and elevations of construction are for bidding only. B. Contractor shall inspect existing conditions and verify dimensions, elevations, etc.. which affect the scope on the construction drawings. C. The Engineer of Record shall be notified of any variations or discrepancies on the construction drawings. Any variations of the constructions drawings without the Engineer of Record consent are the responsibility of the contractor and owner. D. The construction drawings depict a finished product and all temporary bracing and means and methods of construction are the responsibility of the Contractor. E.
