Dear Mr. Williams,
Cooper Roofing would like to request that pennit # 050~-0524 be closed due to
circumstances beyond our control. Please take the fon~ing into con$ideration as a
decision is reached. !
Per our phone convetsation, on ApriJ 19, 2007 with hot$owner, Mr. Chester Milter, we
learned that Mt. Miller spoke to inspector, Shaun Milli~'an., when the finaI inspection took
place. Mr. Miller stated that Mr. Milligan told him that e backwards exhaust fan wouJd
not be written up in a negative manner and to request t Cooper Roofing simply address
the issue innnediate]y. With in a matter of days the vent was corrected. However, Mr.
Miner did inform us of damage received to his ridge ve+t from Hurricane Wilma.
Mr. Miller has refused to pay our minimwn repair fee ~d stated that he would repair the
ridge vent himsel[ Hurricane winds exceeded the 90m,h manufacturer's wind warranty;
therefore we cannot perfonn ftee repairs for something the manufacturer cannot even be
held responsible for. !

Per Cooper ROQfing's workmanship warranty, we canndt be held responsible for the
condition of the roof once anyone other than Cooper Rdpfing has perfonned alterations to
it. The wananty is void and we cannot be held responsible for work that may be
inadequate or not to code. ~

assistance in bringing resolution to the permit # 0502~0524. Please advise us as to the
final status of this permit. '
