Units 216/316,416/516,,516,616 and 616/716—Continued demo of edge spalls.
OBSERVATIONS:
Unif 216/31.6 ::
•;: Chipping of 5palled concrete is complete and all corrosion in existing reinforcing bars has been exposed.
• °A total of 2'-6'-linear feet of edge&4 square feet of full depth to be repaired.
Uriit 416/516(North enol)
• 6ipping along the•balcony edge is in progress.
• Contractor'is chasing the corrosion in the bars and has stopped due to the location of a post tension anchor.
Unit 516/616
• Repaired areas have been poured and the form boards have been removed.
• Cable ends have been cut and grease caps placed.(Typ x3)
• Contractor is to grout pockets with a non-shrink,high strength grout.
Unit 616/716
• Chipping of spalled concrete is complete and all corrosion in existing reinforcing has been bars exposed.
• A total of 2'-6"linear feet of edge to be repaired.
All work to date complies with the design and permit documents.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Unit 416/516 Contractor to lock-off(1)PT cable prior to any further chipping.
Unit 616-716 Two existing#4 bursting bars to be replaced.Cut corroded bars&dowel in new 94 bars w/6"epoxy
embed.
