HomeMy WebLinkAboutFire-Rescue site plan notes ATTENTION: FIRE PLAN REVIEWER! RE: Battery backup, Knox key switch AND / OR Knox box for gate entry system. 1) All gate operators will have battery backup units installed to open upon power failure. 2) A Knox key switch will be installed. When activated, the entry gates will remain opened until the switch is deactivated by Fire Department personnel. 3) For municipalities not using fire Knox key switches, an S.O.S. system will be installed, locking the gates open for a minimum of five minutes. Also, signage will be visible “EMERGENCY VEHICLE – USE YELP MODE TO ACTIVATE GATES”. Also, a keypad with assigned Fire Department / Police Code will be used to grant access into the development. 4) Knox padlock will be installed as requested. 5) SUPRA BOXES will be installed when necessary. 6) All gates are designed to fail in the open position, and have a manual releasing device installed. 7) For municipalities not using the above stated equipment, we will install a “Click2Enter” device programmed by the Fire/Rescue Department.
