To whom it may concern:
In our professional opinion, the above referenced buildings have been designed to sustain no
less than the requested design loads as listed on the order documents, applied per the 2017
Florida Building Code specifically as follows:
Risk Category II- Normal
Dead Load Metal Building Only
Collateral Load 3.0 psf (A); 1 psf (B)
Sprinkler Load 0.0 psf
Roof Live Load 20.0 psf Reducible
Ground Snow Load 0 psf Importance Factor Is = N.A. Exposure = N.A.
Roof Snow Load 0 psf Thermal Factor Ce = N.A
Wind Speed Vult (3-sec gust) 166 mph Exposure = C
Wind Speed Vasd 108 mph
Serviceability Wind Speed 89 mph
Internal Pressure Coefficient ±0.18 (A); +/-0.55 (B)
Wind design is based on an Enclosed (A); Partially Enclosed (B) buildings. All building
envelope accessories (windows, doors, etc.) not provided by the metal building fabricator must
be designed to sustain no less than the same wind criteria as the building.
For components, cladding, and MWFRS, deflections involving wind are based on 10-year
serviceability wind pressures.
Seismic Importance Factor Ie = 1.0
Spectral Response Acceleration, Ss = 0.0500 Design Spectral Response, SDS = 0.025
Spectral Response Acceleration, S1 = 0.0533 Design Spectral Response, SD1 = 0.040
Seismic Design Category = A Site Class = D

Design is in accordance with the 2012 AISI North American Specification for the Design of
Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members, the 2010 AISC Specification for Structural Steel
Buildings, the AWS D1.1-10 Structural Welding Code - Steel, the AWS D1.3-08 Structural
Welding Code - Sheet Steel, and generally accepted engineering practices.

and furnished by the metal building fabricator, and specifically excludes all accessories, anchor
rods, foundation, masonry, general contract work, or any field modifications deviating from the
metal building system construction documents.
