The (2) sliding glass doors, (1) single hung windows and (2) single hung windows with a mullion are all in wind load Zone 4. All new units are by PGT Industries; Single hung Series 5500, PVC; Sliding glass doors: Series 770, Alum. Completing the wind load calculations based on the Residential FBC 2017, the applied wind pressures are as follows per the proposed replacement glazed units for 5`h floor, Exposure D, wind zone 4: Glazed Unit: Applied Wind Pressure: (1) 31 "x50" single hung window: +53.9/-57.4 psf (2) mul'd 36"x62" single hung windows: +52.2/-56.6psf (1) 106"x96" sliding glass door: +46.1/-50.5 psf (1) 142"x96" sliding glass door: +47.3/-51.3psf In reviewing respective NOA's for the above glazed units, all have allowable design pressure equal to or exceeding these respective applied pressures and as such are acceptable to this office If you have any questions, please contact me at any time.
