Below is our response to the comments pertinent only to our portion of the design of the referenced project.
Mechanical Comments
1. No mechanical work on project. All systems and ductwork are existing according to the applicant. Any
mechanical work will require separate permitting. Existing building volume-1009.1 Mechanical
requirements. Where the occupancy of an existing building or part of an existing building is changed such
that the new occupancy is subject to different kitchen exhaust requirements or to increased mechanical
ventilation requirement in accordance with the Florida Building Code, Mechanical, the new occupancy
shall comply with the respective Florida Building Code, Mechanical provisions.
Response: See revised M0.1. Outdoor air schedule has been added.
2. Ventilation air per section 402 FMC is not shown.
Response: See revised M0.1. Outdoor air schedule has been added.
3. Outdoor air required per 403.3.1 pleas provide details how this accomplished. Minimum rates per
Table 403.1.1 FMC.
Response: See revised M0.1 and M2.1. Outside air duct and detail has been added.
4. Provide information to show compliance with Florida Energy code for this occupancy. Plans indicate
mercantile group, name of business is not consistent on all pages of the plan. Please provide actual
information.
Response: The mechanical equipment is existing to remain. No new equipment is added.
