It is our understanding that the city has noted that our structural plans specify a minimum 2000 PSF soil bearing capacity, and the city has requested that soil testing is to be submitted to ensure conformance to the specifications. As you have relayed to us, all lots in the community were excavated and then backfilled and compacted (Cut and Filled) with controlled engineered fill. A third party geotechnical engineering firm, Universal Engineering Sciences, was tasked with conducting soil tests on several lots within the above referenced community to determine the soil bearing capacity. Please note, Mulhem + Kulp has not visited the site, but information was provided for our review. The third party lot soils reports referenced above have indicated that the soils meet the 2000 PSF soil bearing capacity specified on our structural plans. It is our professional engineering judgement that all lots designed by Mulhem + Kulp in the community of Lakewood Park, FL adequately meet the 2000 PSF soil bearing capacity, provided that the sites have been prepared similarly to that of the lots listed above.
