TO OWNER. IF SOLAR POOL HEATER FREEZES, IT IS THE OWNER'S SOLE RESONSIBILITY.
FREEZE DAMAGE RESULTS FROM AN ERROR IN OPERATION. COLLECTORS SHOULD
ALWAYS BE DRAINED BY OWNER OR OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE IN ADVANCE OF NEAR
FREEZING WEATHER.
NOTES:
1. CONTRACTOR IS ENCOURAGED TO INSTALL SYSTEM IN PRESSURE ZONE 1.
IF PART OF SYSTEM MUST ENCROACH INTO PRESSURE ZONE 2 OR 3,
ANCHORING SHALL BE ADJUSTED AS PER SPECIFICATIONS�HEREIN.
CONTRACTOR SHALL ATTACH COLLECTOR ARRAY WITH OEM HARDWARE
AND STRAPPING. CONTRACTOR MUST BE CAREFUL TO "CENTER" ANCHORS
SO SCREWS ARE INSTALLED INTO THE CENTER OF THE TRUSS TOP CHORD
OR RAFTER BELOW. AN APPROVED ALTERNATIVE WOULD BE CONTRACTOR
INSTALLED NOMINAL 2"X4" SOUTHERN PINE #2 BLOCKING BETWEEN
TRUSSES OR RAFTERS AT SCREW LOCATION, CENTERED ON SCREW.
BLOCKING SHALL BE CONNECTED TO TRUSS OR RAFTER WITH SIMPSON
A34 OR A23 ON EACH FACE OF BLOCKING (2 CONNECTORS PER
CONNECTION TO TRUSS OR RAFTER).
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL ADHERE TO REQUIREMENT OF FBC CHAPTER 15
(ROOFING) AND BEST PRACTICES OF NRCA ROOFING & WATERPROOFING
MANUAL TO ENSURE THE SOLAR INSTALLATION DOES NOT CAUSE ROOF
LEAKS AT INITIAL INSTALLATION OR AS THE SYSTEM "AGES".
3. AS LONG AS CONNECTOR SPACING AND NUMBERS ARE NOT REDCUED THE
CONTRACTOR MAY USE A SUBSTRATE OR ALUMINUM MOUNTING FRAME,
"SANDWICHED" BETWEEN THE COLLECTOR AND ROOF ON FLUSH MOUNT
INSTALLATIONS ONLY.
4. OEM STRONGLY RECOMMENDS AGAINST CLAMPS ON THE BOTTOM HEADER.
5. SOLAR UNITS INSTALLED PER THIS PLAN SHALL NOT FORM PART OF THE
BUILDING ENVELOPE (I.E. WINDOW, DOOR). SOLAR UNITS SHALL BE
MOUNTED ABOVE ROOF SURFACE LIKE A A/C CONDENSER. THEREFORE
NOT REQUIRING A PRESSURE RATING (I.E. WINDOWS, DOORS). SOLAR
UNITS SHALL BE MOUNTED VERY CLOSE TO THE ROOF SURFACE, TO
PROVIDE PRESSURE EQUALIZATION BETWEEN THE ROOF SURFACE AND THE
BACK OF THE SOLAR UNITS. THIS RESULTS IN NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES
IN THE LOADS ON THE ROOF FRAMING FOR A PARALLEL MOUNT AND
MODEST CHANGES IF TILT UP. HOWEVER THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL
COMPONENTS OF WIND PRESSURE DECOUPLE, E.G. THE ROOF RESISTS THE":
INTERNAL WIND PRESSURES AND THE SOLAR UNITS RESIST THE EXTERNAL
WIND PRESSURES. THE EXTERNAL WIND FORCES ARE THEN h:
