HomeMy WebLinkAboutFourth Amended Emergency Procurement OrderSTATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION In Re: EMERGENCY AUTHORIZATION FOR SUSPENSION OF PROCUREMENT AND TRAVEL STATUTES, RULES AND OGC NO.16-1316 ORDERS, MADE NECESSARY BY HURRICANE MATTHEW FOURTH AMENDED EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT ORDER I HEREBY find that the Department of Environmental Protection's timely performance of disaster response functions related to Hurricane Matthew as assigned by the State Coordinating Officer are hindered by the application of procurement, and travel procedures imposed by statute, rule, or order. NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority granted by Executive Order Nos. 16- 230, 16-274, and 17-16: A. I hereby suspend, to the extent necessary to ensure said emergency response functions, the effect of any statute, rule, or order, to the extent needed to procure any and all necessary supplies, commodities, services, temporary premises, and other resources, to include, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any and all statutes, rules and orders which affect budgeting, leasing, printing, purchasing, travel, the conditions of employment and the compensation of employees, as set forth in an established Tracker item at the Florida Emergency Operations Center or as prescribed in the State Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan or directed by the State Coordinating Officer. B. This Fourth Amended Order shall expire on March 1, 2017, unless extended (in increments of no more than thirty days) by the Department.
