Thank you for contacting our Department with your request for a setback determination for a
temporary groundwater remediation system proposed at 7201 S US-1 Port St. Lucie, FL, as
part of a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Program.

The subject site is located within the CG, Commercial General Zoning District with a COM,
Commercial land use designation. St. Lucie County Land Development Code (LDC) Section
7.04.01 (Table 7-10) requires a 20 ft. rear yard and 10 ft. side yard, or designated area to

provide open space at grade between a building and the property lines of the lot on which the

building is located, unoccupied and unobstructed from the ground upward. In addition, LDC
Section 7.09.04 B. 1. requires a landscaped buffer of not less than ten (10) feet in width
between an off-street parking area and abutting property.

The request to place a temporary, FDEP authorized, groundwater remediation system within

minimize active business operations, while completing the most cost-effective site restoration

• A 30 month (2.5 years), maximum placement period with an annual update to the
County;
