EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020:
Florida Legislature amended the requirements for all notary acknowledgement forms - F.s. 4117.Os(13)
Under this new law, mandatory revisions to all notary acknowledgement forms must include verbiage that
indicates whether the person whose signature being notarized appeared before the notary
"by means ofphysical presence or through online notarization"
Forms which do not include this specification are not valid and can no longer be used for notarization, but
(1) theycan be updated bythe original custodan and brought back

(2) we can attach the updated version to the original document
