Conditions of Issuance:
• A conspicuous, suitable protective barrier, constructed of metal, wood, safety
fencing or other durable material, shall be placed and maintained around the
perimeter of the proposed impact area to form a continuous unbroken boundary,
around individual protected trees, or groups of protected vegetation, or other
protected areas, as follows:
• At a minimum distance of either ten (10) feet from the edge of groups or areas of
protected vegetation or from the radius of the dripline from all protected trees,
whichever is greater; or
• . As otherwise provided in special conditions attached to a Notice of Vegetation
Removal.
• Special care shall be taken that preservation areas are properly marked and highly
visible so that equipment operators can see the limits of permitted removal activity.
• Protective barriers or protective designations shall remain in place until removal is
authorized by the Public Works Director, or his designee (SLCERD), or until
issuance of a certificate of occupancy or other use authorization as may be granted
by the Public Works Director, or his designee (SLCERD).
• In the event that any protective barriers are removed or altered and clearing
activities are conducted within an area identified for preserve under the issued
Vegetation Removal Permit, the Public Works Director, or his designee (SLCERD) is
authorized to direct that all land clearing and site alteration work at the site be
stopped until the barriers are restored and any necessary corrective actions taken to
repair or replant any vegetation removed or damaged as a result of these
encroachments.
• The preserve areas and tree preservation areas shall be maintained in their natural
state so as not to alter the water and oxygen content of the soil and impair its
natural function.
• No grade changes or excavation of any sort may be made within the barricaded
areas.
• If the grade is to be raised outside: the preserve area. or around -the tree, preservation
zone, transitional sloping of the raised grade to the natural grade, or tree wells
around the'outeredges-of the preserve area ordriplines,,with drain'tiles shall be
employed to -ensure that water will not pond around the roots
• If:any ezcavationsor. other activitiesiare;expected outside of the preserve'area or

area.
• No signs, permits, wires, or other attachments shall be affixed or attached to
protected vegetation.
• Please be advised that any landscape requirements must be met prior to issuance
of a Certificate of Occupancy.
• No equipment, including passenger vehicles, shall be driven, parked, or
stored or repaired within designated vegetation preservation areas.
• Any tree pruning for clearance during construction must be performed by a qualified
arborist and not by construction personnel.
• Please be advised that any native vegetation destroyed or damaged due to
construction activities or fill placement shall be mitigated at a ratio of 4:1 ( 4 inches
of replanting for each inch destroyed or damaged).

• THE PROPERTY OWNER AND/OR AGENT SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL APPLICABLE STATE AND/OR
FEDERAL PERMITS.
