Dear Mr. Demarco:
APX Engineering Group, LLC (APX) has completed an evaluation of the effect on loading of the subject
structure created by the addition of new equipment. This evaluation was based on published catalog
information, information obtained during our site visit, previous site construction drawings, the antenna
mount calculations by APX dated June 1, 2020, and information provided by AT&T. The intent of this letter
is to assess the effect of the proposed addition of new telecommunication equipment upon the supporting
structural system, which include the existing building structure.
The proposed antenna equipment loading will impose approximately 5 square feet of project wind area and
450 pounds of weight increase spread over three locations already being occupied by AT&T equipment on
the existing structure. The projected wind area increase as a result of the proposed equipment is less than
ten percent and the weight increase is negligible in comparison to the weight of the building. In accordance
with the Florida Building Code – Existing, 6th Edition (2017), Sections 402.3 and 402.4, these are acceptable
limits of load increase. Therefore, based on our evaluation of the above-referenced information, it is our
opinion that the subject supporting structure will support the proposed AT&T loading.
Should you have any questions or wish to discuss any aspect of this letter, please do not hesitate to contact
the undersigned.
Sincerely,
APX Engineering Group, LLC
