Various test standards have been evaluated for differences iotest methVdok»8y, if any, between tested
editions of the test standards listed below and those editions referenced in the current Florida Building Code.
Republic Doors & Frames has tested their products to the following test standard edition(s):
l) ASTM E1996-O3/O8
Chapter 35 of the current Florida Building Code references the following editions of the above mentioned
test standards:

After review ofthe above mentioned referenced standards and editions, bhas been found that nosignificant
technical changes have been made tothe test standards that would affect the results. All referenced
standards have been found to be equivalent. All materials test results meet minimum requirements of the
current Florida Building Code.
Installation: 1. Approved anchor types and substrates are asfollows:
Installation at Jarnbs:
A. For 2x wood buck substrate, use 3/8" Lag Screw SAE grade 5 type installation anchors of
sufficient length toachieve aminimum embedment of3.00"into the wood substrate.
B. For concrete or masonry substrate where one by (1X), non-structural, wood bucking is
employed, use 3/8" ITW/Redhead Dynabolt Sleeve Expansion Anchor type concrete
anchors of sufficient length to achieve minimum embedment of 2.00" into concrete or
masonry.
[ For concrete ormasonry substrate where wood bucking bNOT employed, use 3/8"
|TN0/Redbea6DVnobmlt Sleeve Expansion Anchor type concrete anchors ofsufficient
|engthtoachieveminirnunnembednoentofZ.0O"intoconcreteorrnoyonry.
D. For new masonry construction, use 3/16" Dia. X 8-3/4" long wire anchor into grout of
minimum compressive strength ofZO00psi.
Installation at Mullion Sill:
A. For concrete substrate, use 3/0"m2 X°HHdKwik Bolt 3 Anchors type concrete anchors
of sufficient length to achieve minimum embedment of 1.625" into concrete.
Installation atThreshold:
A, For 2x wood buck substrate, use #12 Wood Screw type installation anchors of sufficient
length to achieve aminimum embedment of 1.50" into the wood substrate.
B. For concrete or masonry substrate where one by (1X), non-structural, wood bucking is
employed, or directly into concrete/masonry substrates use Y4" ITW Tapcon Anchor type
concrete anchors of sufficient length to achieve minimum embedment of 1.25" into
concrete ormasonry.
