License #AA002130 Response to ALPI Review Comments Windows in infant classroom 1, 4 and 5 do not meet egress requirements. ■ Response: Egress windows have been incorporated into Construction Documents. (Refer to Sheets A100, A201 and A202). 2. Need second means of egress in classrooms 2, 3 and 4. Response: Door 112C has been added to Room #112. Doors 8517 South Park Circle have been removed from Room 113C and Door #113C has been included as a Secondary means of egress. (Refer to Sheets A100, Suite 150 A201, A202 and A600). (Existing water heater and food service cooking equipment are gas). 12. Provide product info for lighting, switches and outlets. Response: Lighting to be 120V Energy Miser flourescent 2 x 4 lay -in. Switches to be 20A rated commercial grade. Receptacles to be 20A rated commercial grade. GFCI protected below 4' in classrooms, within 4' of water and where exposed outside. 13. Provide sealing info for any electric penetrations thru firewalls Response: Firewall penetrations to be sealed with approved materials and products as determined per ASTM E814 and ASTM E119. 14. Specify types of conduits to be used for service and branch circuits. (EMT/PVC/AC/Cable). Response: Raceways to be EMT, rigid non-metallic, flexible metallic as approved for usage per NEC. 15. Specify wire 'types' (THHN/THWN) or other for electric. Response: Conductors to be THHN. 16. Provide fault current rating for main C.B. - FPL fault current rating also needed. Classrooms 3 and 4 exit through a storeroom. FFPC 2001, Sec. 101-7.5.2 1 does not allow this. 8517 South Park Circle Response: Vestibule 113C was incorrectly labeled as Storage. Refer to Suite 150 - ' attached revised drawing sheet A100. Orlando, Florida 32819 _ 2. A Fire alarm system is required under separate permit. • 407.370.5555 (phone) Response: Shall comply. Refer to attached revised drawing sheet A100, General Notes. 407.370.5550 (fax) 3. Interconnect the fixed fire protection system with the fire alarm system. Response: Shall comply. Refer to attached revised drawing sheet A100, Note added at existing kitchen. ■ 4. Windows marked "A-1" and "C-1" shall be rated assemblies. Response: Shall comply. Refer to attached revised drawing sheet A100, General Notes. Also refer to drawing sheet A301, Window Elevations. "A- 1" and "C-1 " windows indicate wire glazing. The life safety plan and the electrical plan do not match. Indicate locations of all emergency light fixtures and exit light fixtures, including directional exit light fixtures. ■ Response: Shall comply. Refer to attached revised drawing sheet A100. Emergency light fixtures and exit light fixtures have been coordinated. An Electrical Symbol legend has been added to the drawing. fla@ floridaarchitects.com NOTES: All revisions will be in compliance before the Final Inspection and the Fire Marshall will be given 24 hour notice on all inspections. The Building Department will schedule all Final Inspections through the Fire Marshall's office. All permit fees will be paid in full prior to inspections, and fees will be paid prior to rescheduling of failed inspections. All ULdesign criteria shall be as follows: • 1 hour rated ceilings - UL design no. L209. • Wall penetrations - UL design no. W-L-1166. • Wall assemblies - UL design no. U419.
