person or persons clamming the exemption.

1. The minimal removal of vegetation necessary for the clearing of a path not to exceed t tit width• to provide
physical access or view necessary to conduct a surge\ or site examination OR 10' in width to pro\ idc vehicular
access necessary to conduct soil tests. for the preparation of bona tide site development plans or vegetation
inventories: provided such clearing or removal is conducted under the direction of a Florida registered surveyor

right-of-way provided such work is done by or under the control of the operating utility company and that company
has obtained all necessary licenses or pernnits to provide utility service through the easement. Fee: $55
3. The removal of vegetation which has been determined to be a safety hazard. destroyed or damaLed beyond savine
by natural causes or causes not covered by other sections of this chapter, is infected with disease or is infested with
insects. or which constitutes immediate peril to life property or other tree,,. Fee: S55
*No application, approval, or fees are required for removal of a hazardous tree on residential property if
the property owner obtains documentation from an arborist certified b% the international Societe of
Arboriculture or a Florida licensed landscape architect that the tree presents a danger to persons or
property.

eventual death of tlic vegetation. mowing of yards or lawns. or any other landscaping or gardening activity
which is commonly recognized as routine maintenance. replacement or re -landscaping.

PART 11 - VEGETATION REMOVAL PERMIT
Fee Schedule: 5100 per Single Family Home Lot/Building
S100 per Multifamil,4 Home Lot/Building
5200 per Non -Residential Building
Please complete ALL of the requested information. A \ ezetation Removal Permit shall only be issued if sufficient evidence
denionstrativa that at least one of the following criteria has been satisfied:
I . The applicant for %egetation removal permit shall demonstrate why preservation of the existing native \ egetation is
not practically feasible and prevents the reasonable development of the site.

3. Tree Survey
The surrey must accurately depict the individual locations. species name and common name. and sizes of all Couni�-
protected trees to be removed and. if applicable. the individual locations. species name and common name. and sizes
to be preserved or relocated.
4. Vegetation Removal Plan
The vegetation removal plan must illustrate the existing %eeetati\e conditions on the prt>_lect site. including an
identification of what areas will be impacted by the proposed development active\ and v.-hat areas are proposed for
preservation or replanting.
5. Mitigation
All native vegctation shall be protected on site to the greatest extent possible. if impact is unavoidable. mitigation
shall be provided through one of the mitigation methodologies outlined in Land Development Code Section
6.00.05.D.
Provide mitigation calculations per Land Development Code Section 6.00.05.D and include a mitigation plan
outlining proposed mitigation method on die tine sur e\ and or site plan.
If sufficient mitigation cannot be accommodated on -site and additional inches Of credit are required based on
calculation. an oft -site mitigation plan shall be attached for reyieu and approval of FRD Director (Land Development
Code Section 6.00.0,;.D).
Prior to the issuance of any authorization for commencement of permitted development activi(y. the replacement
vcgetation shall be preserved. relocated or planted. or the appropriate mitigation fees shall be paid to the County. As
part of the issuance of any permit requiring mitigation, the propert\ owner shall submit to an inspection of the
planted relocatedrpreserved materials 18 months after the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy or other use
authorization.
