To whom it may concern:
Please accept the responses below for your condition for approval.
1. Please show on the Plans the required insulation R‐Values and material of the insulation
for the walls between the Garage and Conditioned Space, Sec. 107 FBC 6th Ed, 2017.
Response: The R‐Value of the insulation and type have been listed in the Wall Legend
on Sheet A1. The R‐value will be R‐11 and the type is Batt. The R‐Value of the 1” thick
rigid board insulation as been listed as well. Please refer to Sheet A1.
2. Please review and correct accordingly. The insulation on the Energy Calculations and
Plans do not match. Response: Per the above comment, the R‐values have been added
to the Architectural Drawings as requested. Refer to the revised Energy Calculations
for additional information.
3. Line seven on the Energy Calcs is incorrect. Multiple types of sizes of the glazed openings
on Plans. Please correct Energy Calcs as per Section R401.3 of FBC‐Energy Conservation
6th Edition, 2017 Florida Building Code. Response: Please refer to the attached revised
Energy Calculations as requested.
