Mr. Murray:
Pursuant to your request, we have prepared this letter to address the as-built installation of the Roof Truss uplift connector and wall
?' sheathing on the above referenced lot. As you have reported,the exterior wall sheathing panels were only extended to and fastened to
the bottom plate of the double top plate.The uplift connector was fastened back to double top plate;however,only the bottom portion is
fastened to both the sheathing and top plate. The upper plate is fastened to the lower plate per code required lap splice nailing. Please
note, Mulhern+ Kulp has not visited the site,but information and pictures were provided for our review.
? Based on our engineering evaluation,we have determined that additional fastening is required. Provide (2)Simpson SDWC15600
truss screws under each roof truss per manufacturer specifications. Fasten screws through the underside of the double top plate,
extended vertically into the upper plate and into each roof truss as directed by the manufacturer for a two-screw installation.
