In addition, other I/O and reader interface modules can be added on the controller’s downstream port to expand its capabilities. The LNL-X2220 controller revolutionizes access control system architecture by allowing Ethernet connection directly from an entry location to the OnGuard server, while still providing the security, functionality, and modularity of Lenel’s proven hardware platform. The LNL-X2220 controller is scalable for any access control application, from the most basic to the most sophisticated. In the event of communication loss, the LNL-X2220 controller allows nearly all local functionality to continue unimpaired until the server connection is restored. Utilizing its native Ethernet communications and an advanced 32-bit processor, the LNL-X2220 controller can communicate upstream to the host computer through its Ethernet port. The controller can store up to 250,000 cardholders in non-volatile flash memory, and supports selective download for larger cardholder databases. The downstream RS-485 two-wire port can be used to connect up to 32 devices (maximum 64 doors). Two on-board reader ports support Data1/Data0, Clock/Data, Supervised and Unsupervised F2F, Biometric readers and the bi-directional RS-485 Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) communications. The ICM communicates directly with the Intelligent System Controller (ISC) by either 2-wire or 4-wire RS-485 communication. The input circuits are scanned using an analog-to-digital converter. The 24VDC solenoid can be energized from a distant controller, thus allowing access control of the opening. The control of stairwells in high-rise buildings is a common application for this trim. When electrically unlocked the unit operates as a normal lever trim. When electrically locked, the lever feels locked, but when more than 35 pounds of torque pressure is applied, the Breakaway lever feature engages. The E996L is available in standard either in a fail safe (FS) or fail secure (FSE) condition, but can also be field converted where allowed. The trim can be ordered with a device, added to an existing 98/99 series device application, or a conversion kit can be added to an existing 996L Breakaway lever trim. On new construction applications, the E996L trim will require less door prep. The E996L is available with a blank escutcheon (BE) function, or with cylinder operation for night latch (NL) function. The E996L electrified trim replaces the current “E” electric feature on 98/99 series rim devices. Consult factory for requirements. E7500- Electric mortise lock The electric mortise lock device has all the versatility and advantages of the standard mortise lock device, plus the advantage of being electrically controlled by a remote switching device, an access control system or an automatic fire alarm system. The device features the 7500 mortise lock. The E7500 controls the locking of the outside trim. When unlocked, the door remains latched, preserving the fire rating of the door and making it particularly useful where codes permit locking but require unlocking during a fire emergency. The outside trim cylinder retracts the latch bolt for mechanical override of night latch function. Only available with TP, K or L functions. The E7500 lock contains a SPDT signal to monitor the outside trim condition (locked or unlocked) and a second SPDT signal switch to monitor the latch bolt. The contacts are moved up onto the track and out of the way of equipment. The 4700-A Series switches are designed to be easy to install and very adjustable. They can attach to a wide range of track sizes and only require tightening one or two screws to install the contacts. It can be installed on either side of the door and the cable exit can be reversed to simplify installation. This location should also have a matching location on the door when it is in the closed position that the magnet can be attached to. If necessary reverse the armored cable by removing the screw opposite the cable and moving the probe to the opposite side of the switch. Then just reinstall the screw. Before assembling the switch, back out the hex head screw until the end is flush with the switch body. Assemble the switch by sliding the hinge plate into the slot on the switch and inserting the L shaped bracket into the other slot on the switch. (XL version: Install the countersink screw and nut through switch body and L shaped bracket. Snug nut up letting L shaped bracket still slide.) Then squeeze the switch assembly around the channel making sure the switch locks into a slot on the L shaped bracket. (XL version: Tighten the nut making sure that the switch stays in the slot on the L shaped bracket.) Then just tighten the hex head screw to firmly attach switch to channel. The magnet is installed by locating a position on the door that will be out of the way as the door is opened and closed. The magnet should be placed vertically and so that it will stay in range of the switch as the door wears or moves around. RFI and Impact Immunity E-models feature improved immunity to false alarms from external sources including radio frequency interference, “popcorn noise”, as well as physical impact. It features two sealed reed tamper switches, one on the Back plate and one on the Front Cover. The switches are normally closed and pre-wired in series. The ELK-150RT can produce two distinct sounds from a single input trigger. It incorporates two sealed reed tamper switches for enhanced reliability and ease of use. 1. Using the backplate as a template, mark and drill the 4 mounting holes and the wire or conduit entry hole (see Figure 1). Insert the (4) 1/4 x 1” wall anchors, then partially install the top two #10 x 1” screws. 2. Route the wire or conduit through the hole provided and hang backplate on the top screws. Then install remaining two screws and & tighten all four. 3. Temporarily hang the Siren/speaker on the backplate by aligning the slotted in-sert on the top edge of the Siren with the 1/2” recessed tab on the bottom edge of the backplate. Press Siren onto tab. (See Figure 2) 4. Connect the two white wires from the tamper switches to a 24 hour closed loop on the control panel (the switches are already connected in series). 5. Connect the Red (+) and Black (-) wires from the Siren to the control’s alarm output. The Siren produces a Yelp sound from a constant voltage input. If the voltage input is pulsed the siren produces a low pitch rise. This ComboTrig-gerTM feature allows two sounds to be activated by a control that has only a sin-gle alarm output with a pulse option. Recommended wire gauge from control is 18 AWG. NEG (-) Black = Negative (-) terminal from Control’s Alarm output. YELP (+) RED = Positive (+) terminal from Control’s Alarm output 6. Move the Siren/speaker from its hanging position to its final mount by aligning it’s top and bottom slots with the 1/2” tabs on the top edge of the backplate and in the bottom center above the bolt threads. (See Figure 3) Press firmly. 7. Slide front cover over speaker. Lift up to engage the tabs in the cover with the two “U” shaped slots on the top edges of the backplate. (Figure 4) Lower cover until tabs are in slots. Push cover towards wall, then lift up to lock tabs in slots. Thread 1/4-20 hex bolt into hole on bottom of cover and tighten until secure. 8. The front cover tamper switch is pressed closed by the front cover during the final 3 to 4 full turns of the hex bolt. If possible, test the operation of the tamper switch using a continuity meter. Note: The ELK-150RT is designed for Single Output Alarm Controls that use a STEADY Output for BURG or a PULSING Output for FIRE. For an Alarm Con-trol panel that has separate BURG and FIRE alarm outputs connect the Red wire to each output, then program one output for Steady(Burg) and the other for Pulsing(Fire).
