Re: PRELIMINARY SUBSURFACE SOIL INVESTIGATION
DERRICK GALE CONTRUCTION — '' ORTi=1'ERY AAA _H k 1rA E_)'
7273 SOUTH INDIAN RIVER DRIV
FORT PIERCE, FL
Dear Sirs:
The subsurface soils at the above referenced site have been investigated and the soil below the
intended structure is capable of supporting the structural foundation design load of 2500 psf.
One ten -foot auger holes were investigated and found to contain soils consistent with those in the
surrounding area, which are capable of supporting loads not to exceed 2500 pounds per square
foot. One fifteen -foot probe penetration test was performed to determine the density of the existing
soil. These tests, performed in compliance of Section R401.4 of the 2017 Florida Building Code,
Residential, provided sufficient evidence that the underlying soils will support the proposed
structure.
Per the attached SCS Soil Survey information, the soils are consistent with and classified as Paola
Sand and are not expansive, compressive or otherwise of questionable characteristics. Therefore,
per Section R401.4, additional soil tests in acg9ropnce with FBC 1803.6 beyond this preliminary
report are not necessary ,,p B O YF T
Respectfully submitted,
