Engineer’s Report
This Engineer’s report is based on a field visit dated Sep 13, 2020
Door and Window installation:
Window:
Two single hung, impact resistant windows were installed. Before installation, 1X4 pressure treated
wooden frame was installed. 1 ½” cut nails @ 12” o/c were used. 1 ½” Topcon anchors were used in sill,
header and jamb. Windows were set in vinyl weather stripping and caulking. Product approval
(FL#14911) documents were submitted during permitting process.
Door:
One exterior and three interior doors were installed. 1X4 PT door buck was installed. Jamb was
attached to door buck into masonry with 3/16” tap‐con @ 4” c/c from edges. The exterior door is steel
opaque inswing, impact rated, specification TAS201/202/203‐94. Product approval documents were
submitted during permitting process.
Plumbing:
Water:
1/2” CPVC for hot water main and 1/2” CPVC for cold water main were used. Water was connected to
the existing waterline located just outside of the eastern wall.
Sewer:
2” PVC drainpipe collects used water from the shower and 4” PVC line collects sewer wastages from the
toilet. Collected wastewater is conveyed by the 4” PVC pipe to the septic tank.
Wall and Structural Integrity:
Some vertical cracks were filled out by mortar on the outside walls. A signed and sealed structural
integrity memorandum was issued during the permitting process.
