Dear Sirs:
Please accept these responses to your conditions dated 6/25/2014:
BUILDING & STRUCTURAL:
1. Comment: UL P521 2 HR Ceiling assembly requires 2 layers of 5/8 wallboard. Please show
this requirement in all details and references.
Response: Detail B3 on. Sheet A1.1 has been revised to show (2) layers of 518"type "X"
grywall. Please refer to A1.1
2. Comment: Please replace 2 HR wall requirement detail 7, Sheet A1.0, with required detail
U419,Ref on Sheet A1.1 Detail 7 top track attachment is required to be concrete deck, and
cannot.be achieved.with this roof/ceiling assembly.
Response: The detail 7 has been changed to the detail for UL #U419 2=hour fire rated wall.
Please refer to sheet Al.0
3. Comment: Please include structural inspection plan for special inspector requirement for a
threshold building complying with the requirements of FBC110.3.7
Response: Will comply please see revised Structural drawing Sheet S.1
4. Comment: Please note all kitchen hoods must be permitted separately.
Response: A note has been added to sheet A6.1 that "all kitchen hoods shall be under
separate permit".
5. Comment: This project does not appear to meet the requirements of Type II A Construction,
please reclassify on plans to reflect correct construction type.
Response: The construction type has been revised to type. II-B, please refer to A0.1
6. Comment: Please submit soil report, with conclusions and recommendations of Geotechnical
Engineer.
Response: Shall be supplied by General Contractor
7. Comment:.Please note all flame spread and smoke developed index for all finishes used on
wall, ceiling and floor finishes, used.
Response: The requested notations have. been provided.refer to finish schedule Sheet A2.4
8. Comment: Please include finish classifications for all wall,, ceiling and.floor finishes used.
Response: The requested notations have been provided refer to finish schedule Sheet A2.4
9. Comment: Please include all flame spread and smoke developed index for all insulation used.
