5 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A CHANGE IN ZONING
6 FROM THE RM-11 (RESIDENTIAL, MULTIPLE -FAMILY
7 - 11 DU/ACRE) ZONING DISTRICT TO THE 1
8 (INSTITUTIONAL) ZONING DISTRICT OF CERTAIN
9 PROPERTY IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA

11 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, based on the
12 testimony and evidence including, but not limited to the staff report, has made the following
13 determinations:

15 1. Ft. Pierce Masonic Lodge #87, presented a petition for a change in zoning from the
16 RM-11 (Residential, Multiple -Family - 11 du/acre) Zoning District to the 1
17 (Institutional) Zoning District for the property described in Part A below.

19 2. On October 19, 2000, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission held a
20 public hearing on the petition, after publishing notice at least 10 days prior to the
21 hearing and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject
22 property, and recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve the
23 hereafter described request for a change in zoning from the RM-11 (Residential,
24 Multiple -Family -11 du/acre) Zoning District to the I (Institutional) Zoning District for
25 the property described in Part A below.

27 3. On November 8, 2000, this Board held a public hearing on the petition, after
28 publishing notice at least 10 days prior to the hearing and notifying by mail all owners
29 of property within 500 feet of the subject property.

31 4. The proposed change in zoning is consistent with the goals, objectives, and policies
32 of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan and has satisfied the requirements of
33 Section 11.06.03 of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code.

35 5. The proposed change in zoning is consistent with the existing and proposed use of
36 property in the surrounding area.

38 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie
39 County, Florida:

41 A. The proposed change in the Zoning District Classification for that property described
42 as follows:

44 Section 30, Township 36 South, Range 40 East, White City Subdivision, South
45 '/2 of Lot 8, Less the east 132 feet.

owned by Sybil Keane, is hereby changed from the RM-11 (Residential, Multiple -
Family - 11 du/acre) Zoning District to the I (Institutional) Zoning District.
The St. Lucie County Community Development Director is hereby authorized and
directed to cause the change to be made on the Official Zoning Map of St. Lucie
County, Florida, and to make notation of reference to the date of adoption of this
resolution.
